Juliette Bausor studied with Philippa Davies and Samuel Coles at the GSMD and graduated with a First Class Bachelor of Music Degree in July 2001. She won the Gold Medal in both the Shell/LSO Competition 1997 and the Royal Over-Seas League Competition 2001 and was a Grand Finalist in the BBC Young Musician of the Year Competition 1998 as winner of the Woodwind Section. As a soloist Juliette performs at major venues and festivals throughout Britain and abroad including concerto performances with the European Union Chamber Orchestra and recitals in the Wigmore Hall, London. She has also played principal flute with the Northern Sinfonia and Royal Scottish National Orchestra. |

Daniel Bates gained music scholarships to Sevenoaks School, the Purcell School of Music, the Royal Academy of Music and ultimately to Pembroke College, Cambridge, where he studied Music and History of Art. He won the Gold Medal and the Worshipful Company of Dyers award in the 1994 Royal Over-Seas League Competition which led to national and international concerto performances as well as broadcasts on BBC Radio 3, Classic FM and the World Service. Also a successful actor, Daniel played the role of Fedotik in Chekhov’s "Three Sisters" in the West End in 2003, alongside Kristin Scott-Thomas and Eric Sykes. Daniel has played principal oboe with the Northern Sinfonia and Royal Scottish National Orchestra. |

Christopher Richards studied with Dame Thea King, Julian Farrell, Joy Farrell and Anthony Pike at the GSMD and graduated with a First Class Bachelor of Music Degree in July 2001. Christopher was a finalist in both the Clarinet and Saxophone Society Competition 1999 and the Shell/LSO Competition 2001. In 2001 he won the GSMD Needlemakers Wind Prize as well as being awarded the Clarinet Prize at the Blackpool Woodwind Competition. Christopher plays with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, the BCMG and The Philharmonia and is the Principal Clarinet with Northern Sinfonia. |

Katharine Willison studied with Martin Gatt and Julie Price at the Royal College of Music where she won the Bassoon Prize in 1996. She was awarded a scholarship to study at the GSMD in 2000 where she gained a Masters of Music in performance. In 1998 she won a scholarship to the International Orchestral Institute run by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Katharine won a place at the Boulez Academy of Twentieth Century Music, Paris in 2001, which led to an invitation to study with Pascal Gallois. She has worked with the Orchestra de Chambre de Laussane, Orchestra Do Norte Portugal, The Philharmonia, English Symphony Orchestra and English National Opera. |

| Christopher Parkes studied with Hugh Seenen, Jeff Bryant, Richard Bissill at the GSMD graduating in 2003. He reached the Brass Finals in the Young Musician of the Year 2000 and won the British Final of the Paxman Young International Horn Player of the Year in 1998. Chris is a member of the Fine Arts Brass Ensemble and 3rd Horn in the London Philharmonic Orchestra. He also performs with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and BBC Concert Orchestra. | ![]() |
